What is Yoga Therapy?

Sometimes talking is not enough.

Do you learn through doing and being in your body?

Does talk therapy feel more anxiety-provoking than healing?

Do you have a lot of intellectual awareness but still feel stuck?

YOGA THERAPY CAN HELP!

Yoga Therapy is a creative, compassionate, mindful and embodied approach to healing supporting you find the seeds of wisdom and healing inside yourself.

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and certified Yoga Therapist, I am passionate about supporting people heal the effects of individual, collective and intergenerational trauma as well as cultivating and nourishing resilience.

I work with folks navigating a wide range of challenges including: depression, grief, shame, and the struggle to love the body they live in through body-based, trauma-informed, consent-based and liberatory approaches. I am committed to clients experiencing agency, empowerment and freedom.

Yoga Therapy is a different approach to mental and physical health that comes from the belief that you are whole. We use the body,  breath, mind and spirit to holistically access the most effective tools for you, and each session is uniquely tailored to your needs.

This is a different kind of therapy, and I would love to talk with you to see if it might be a good fit for you.

The Guest House
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
